BUTLER — The Jerusalem Community Church, S.R. 1 and C.R. 12, north of Butler, will celebrate 130 years at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Special music will be provided by Nod Arvefel (Don Lefevra) and others. A carry-in dinner will follow in the church basement. The church will provide drinks and table service.

The church was established when a Butler United Brethren Church pastor and a handful of parishioners met in the Jerusalem schoolhouse, once located at the southeast corner of S.R. 1 and C.R. 12. Throughout its history, the church has hosted weddings, funeral services, dedications, community meetings and great fellowship.

Visitors are invited to share stories and photos.

For more information, contact Pastor Stanley Hammond at 495-9006.
