Kraner to sing at Indy 500 event

FORT WAYNE — Lindsey Kraner, owner and creative director of Vocal Power Academy Studio, Fort Wayne, said she has been chosen to sing the national anthem at the 97th Indy 500 Carburetion Day for an estimated crowd of more than 75,000 spectators.

“It is truly an honor to present our nation’s anthem in my home state, especially during this time of unity after the event in Boston,” said Kraner, an East Noble High School graduate. “I’m hoping it will be especially meaningful for the spectators as much as it will be for me.”
