KENDALLVILLE — Sara Barker has joined the staff of The News Sun and The Advance Leader as a new reporter.

Barker, who started June 3, will primarily cover West Noble School Corp., local libraries and courts, as well as managing the daily Life page content in The News Sun.

She replaces Emeline Rodenas, who left the newspaper at the end of March to pursue a new job.

Barker is a recent graduate from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism news.

Prior to graduation, she worked at the Chronicle-Tribune in Marion as an education reporter and at Indiana Public Radio as a student reporter. She is originally from Westfield in Hamilton County, near Indianapolis.
