Firefighters get grant for safety lights

The G. Martin Kenney Fund, held at the Community Foundation of Noble County, recently awarded a grant of $3,471.20 to the Ligonier Fire Department. The department will use the funds to buy attachable safety lights for firefighters. These new lightweight, hands-free lights can be easily attached to firefighter gear. Pictured are, from left, Captain Shawn Cox, firefighters Michael White and Jake Snyder, and Chief Jeremy Weaver.
