Chicken barbecue, garage sale planned

SPENCERVILLE — The Spencerville Covered Bridge Restoration Group will host a High’s chicken barbecue and garage sale Saturday, June 13, at the Spencerville Community Club, 5629 C.R. 68.

Chicken halves only will be available, and those purchasing will need to bring their own containers. The chicken barbecue will take place from 10 a.m. until the food is gone. The garage sale will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Anyone who wishes to donate garage sale items should bring them to the Community Club from 2-5 p.m. Friday, June 12.

Butler High School reunion canceled

BUTLER — The annual gathering of Butler High School alumni, which was scheduled to take place Sunday, June 28, at the old Butler High School gymnasium, has been canceled and will not take place this year.

Organizers of the event cited concerns with the COVID-19 virus and the age of people expected to attend the reunion.

St. Joe meetings resume

ST. JOE — The St. Joe Town Board has resumed its public meeting schedule.

Meetings will take place at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Visitors are required to wear masks until further notice.
