Charles and Betty Yates of Butler will celebrate their 75th anniversary Wednesday. They were married Nov. 18, 1945. Thirteen days after their marriage, Mr. Yates was deployed to Germany as part of the occupation forces during World War II. Mr. Yates is a retired mail carrier from the Butler Post Office. Mrs. Yates sewed custom draperies and was a seamstress for many years. Both are members of Butler United Methodist Church.
