Jered Gross, Maggie Johnson and Case Leper received the State FFA Degree.

CHURUBUSCO — Three Churubusco FFA members received the State FFA Degree at the 90th State FFA Convention at Purdue University on June 19.

Churubusco High School members receiving their degree were: Jered Gross, Maggie Johnson and Case Lemper.

The State FFA Degree is the highest honor that can be awarded by the Indiana State FFA Association. Approximately 2% of the Indiana’s FFA membership will qualify for this award each year.

The State Degree is based on a members’ Supervised Agricultural Experience Program, where they keep record of a job or personal project. Each individual has to keep track of hours worked and money made, meeting strict requirements set forth by the State and National FFA Organization.

Involvement in local, district, state activities, and community service are also an important part of this award.
