It was the second-most wide-reaching story on the KPC News Facebook page and the post with the farthest reach on the News Sun Facebook page during that time as well.

Though the feature on Pine got a lot of reactions and reach on the KPC News Facebook page, the post with the most was about the “texting” devices at the Noble County Jail.

Here were the farthest-reaching posts for that page from Aug. 8-15:

Aug. 9: (Shared from the Albion New Era) Inmates rent the devices for $4 per month and pay 10 cents per message. The sheriff reports there have been few problems with the inmate texting program so far. — 5,427 people reached, 48 reactions, 20 comments, 18 shares

Aug. 8: (Shared from the News Sun) — “It’s just been a blessing, full circle, to working with the students now, working with the students whose parents I’ve had and some of the grandparents.” — 5,228 people reached, 63 reactions, eight comments, 35 shares

Aug. 13: Harlee Henney captured Grand Champion 4-H Market Beef at the Grand Drive in the Indiana State Fair 4-H Beef Show on Aug. 3. — 4,714 people reached, 82 reactions, six comments

Aug. 14: (Shared from the Herald Republican) Police learned the suspects made off with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes. — 3,913 people reached, 35 reactions, 26 shares

As mentioned above, the Pine story was also popular on the News Sun Facebook page, where it reached, 5,502 people, getting 31 reactions, four comments and 158 shares.

A post about an armed robbery in Angola, which was the fourth farthest reaching post on the KPC News Facebook page, had the most reach on the Herald Republican page, where it reached 4,219 people.

The most popular photo gallery from Aug. 8-15 was of Chautauqua Days, which got 479 views on kpcnews.com.
