Ribbons show support for health workers

Auburn residents Natalie DeWitt and her children, Bodhi, 3, and Aida Rose, 2, tied ribbons around trees and signposts in downtown Auburn Thursday morning. The ribbons show support for health care workers during the coronavirus pandemic. The idea came from DeWitt’s aunt, Susan Grogg of Auburn, who joined them in the project. Grogg is retired after working 37 years as a nurse in Auburn’s hospital. “They’re my friends,” she said of health care professionals. “They know, when they see these ribbons, that they’re in our prayers.”
