Metz Christian Church

A 175th year celebration will take place Sunday Aug. 5 at the Metz Christian Church. The event will take place all day with a number of activities.

METZ — The Metz Christian Church will celebrate its 175th anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 5 at the church, 1945 S. C.R. 800E, Angola.

The festivities will begin at 8:45 with coffee and donuts before worship at 9:30 a.m.

Following worship will be a free lunch from 12-1:20 p.m., followed by stories of the church plus songs and worship. From 2:30-3:50 p.m. there will be song performances by “Chordially Yours, Arlene and the Fike Brothers and soloist Dr. Mike Miller.

From 4-4:50 p.m. there will be old time hymn singing and a presentation of the restorationists churches history, including the churches of Christ, christian chruches and disciples of Christ churches.

Worship plus story time, with all invited to come share memories will be from 5-5:50 p.m. and homemade pie and ice cream will follow from 6-7 p.m. to round out the celebration.
