GARRETT — The 15th Annual Miss Garrett Junior, Junior Teen and Teen pageants will take place Thursday, July 4 at 6 p.m. on the Eastside Park stage. This year’s theme is Garrett Fairies and Butterflies.

Twenty girls will compete in four phases of competition including interviews for 45% of scoring, personality wear for 20%, on-stage question for 15% and party wear for 20%. An optional talent competition will also be judged for a separate award and will not count in the contestant’s overall score.

In this pageant, girls are divided into three different age groups.

Miss Garrett Junior contestants for ages 6-8 years:

• Gabrielle Kline, 8, is sponsored by Smit-T’s. She is the daughter of Jessica Kline. When she grows up, she wants to be an animator. Gabrielle will be dancing to “Shake the Room.”

• Jaelyn Farrell, 7, is sponsored by M & S Steel Corporation. She is the daughter of Kaylee and Seth Omspacher and Nick Farrell. When she grows up, she wants to be an artist. Jaelyn will be dancing to “I Like to Fuss.”

• Austyn Johnson, 8, is sponsored by C. L. Johnson Landscaping. She is the daughter of Chad and Ashley Johnson. When Austyn grows up, she wants to be a teacher or writer. Austyn will be dancing to “Be Our Guest” from “Beauty and the Beast.”

• Esther Smith, 8, is sponsored by Freedom Plumbing and Heating. She is the daughter of Sam and Heidi Smith. When Esther grows up, she wants to be a ninja. Esther will be performing a comedy act/telling jokes.

• Stella Karr, 8, is sponsored by Parkview Physicians Group Urology. She is the daughter of Dustin and Nikki Karr. When Stella grows up, she wants to be a professional softball player. Stella will be singing to “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara.

• Adri LeQuia, 8, is sponsored by Pier Place of Angola. She is the daughter of Shane and Ana LeQuia. When she grows up, she wants to be a nurse. Adri will be dancing a hip-hop routine to “How Long.”

• Elyse Hunt, 8, is sponsored by her family. She is the daughter of Aaron and Natasha Hunt. When Elyse grows up, she wants to be a doctor. Elyse will be singing “A Million Dreams” by Pink.

• Moanea Hiles, 6, is sponsored by Subway. She is the daughter of Courtney Hiles. When she grows up, she wants to be a unicorn. Moanea will be dancing to “Let It Go” from “Frozen.”

• Nevaeh Craig, 6, is sponsored by her family. She is the daughter of Quentin and Heather Craig. When she grows up, she wants to be a princess. Nevaeh will be performing a gymnastic routine.

Miss Garrett Junior Teen contestants for ages 9-11 years:

• Savanna McNay, 10, is sponsored by TDS, The Dance Studio. She is the daughter of Robert and Amber McNay. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher. Savanna will be tap dancing to “Classic.”

• Aleyah Farrell, 10, is sponsored by Castle One Realty, Kristie Conrad. She is the daughter of Kaylee and Seth Omspacher and Nick Farrell. When Aleyah grows up, she wants to be a singer. Aleyah will be singing “Who You Say I Am.”

• Faithlynn Bruning, 10, is sponsored by LaOtto Meats. She is the daughter of Laneigh Bruning. When Faithlynn grows up, she wants to be a cosmetologist. Faithlynn will be singing to “This is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.”

Miss Garrett Teen contestants for ages 12-15 years:

• Victoria Hug, 12, is sponsored by Kruse Plaza. She is the daughter of Dave and Terri Hug. Victoria is undecided as to what she wants to be when she grows up, noting she has six years to decide. Victoria will be dancing to “Viva Rock Vegas.”

• Melinda Burns, 12, is sponsored by her family. She is the daughter of John and Diann Brewer and Chad Burns. When Melinda grows up, she wants to be a veterinarian. Melinda will be dancing to “One Call Away.”

• Grace Weller, 15, is sponsored by her family. She is the daughter of Jamie and Sheena Weller. When she grows up, she wants to be a nurse. Grace will be doing a demonstration on baking.

• Trinity Burns, 13, is sponsored her family. She is the daughter of Diann and John Brewer and Chad Burns. When she grows up, she wants to perform autopsies. Trinity will be doing a balance beam routine to Tchaikovsky.

• Kylie Pfeiffer, 13, is sponsored by Open Door Rentals & Real Estate. She is the daughter of Gracy Daniels and Scott Pfeiffer. When Kylie grows up, she wants to be a pediatric nurse. Kylie will be performing an acro-dance to “Velociraptor!”

• Danielle Kilgore, 13, is sponsored by Franz Karate. She is the daughter of Douglas and Monique Kilgore. When Danielle grows up, she wants to be an artist. Danielle will be performing a Kata for her talent.

• Allie Leman, 13, is sponsored by Leman Financial Advisors. She is the daughter of Shannon Leman and Jon Leman. When Allie grows up, she wants to be a nurse practitioner. Allie will be performing a cheer dance to “Applause” by Lady Gaga.

• Raegan Isley, 12, is sponsored by her family. She is the daughter of Chasity Isley. When she grows up, she wants to be a dance instructor. Raegan will be performing a dance to “Do What I Love” choreographed by Lea Stupeck of Ratio Dance.

Directors for the pageant are Carmen Ruble, assisted by Olivia Ruble and Sophia Ruble.

The pageant is sponsored by Garrett State Bank, Garrett Heritage Days Committee, the JAM Center who hosted the interviews earlier in the day and Miller’s Merry Manor who sponsor the Princess Tea Party.

2018 Miss Garrett Junior Teen is Adalyn Custer, 2018 Miss Garrett Teen is Jayden McNutt and 2018 Miss Garrett Junior is Emma Feller.
