GARRETT — Three people were arrested Tuesday morning following an undercover drug transaction south of Garrett, according to the Garrett Police Department.

Two people reportedly met with an undercover officer in the 5700 block of C.R. 327 at about 10:15 a.m. to conduct a drug transaction. A third person residing at the location was discovered later.

During the course of the investigation, the Garrett Narcotics Team seized approximately 75 grams of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, according to police.

An Auburn Police K-9 was called to the scene to assist by conducting a free-air sniff around two vehicles involved in the investigation. The K-9 showed positive alerts to the presence of narcotics, which led to vehicle searches. During a search of one of the vehicles, a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and several hypodermic needles were found, police said.

Those arrested are:

• Michelle Catt, 50, of the 5700 block of C.R. 327, Garrett, on charges of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor:

• Michael A. Pinkerton, 43, of the 300 block of West 9th Street, Auburn, on charges of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; and

• Austin C. Eicher, 31, of U.S. 24, Woodburn, on charges of conspiracy to deal methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony; and possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony.
