Mugs for Meals sell out in short order

Artist and potter Mark Ober is shown with more than 200 unique coffee mugs he created for Wednesday’s Mugs for Meals project. The entire inventory was purchased in the first 45 minutes of the event at the Garrett Museum of Art. Each mug was priced at $25, with more than $5,000 already raised. All proceeds will benefit food banks in Auburn, Garrett and Fort Wayne. “So many people requested more (mugs) that we are going to have another event on Friday, Dec. 11,” Ober said. “I’m not sure how many I can get done by then, but I will be working hard.”
