Trail blazing

A couple women make their way south on the unfinished Steuben County Multipurpose Trail while workers from Brooks Construction work on preparing a driveway cut for its final coat of asphalt Thursday morning. Brooks supervisor Chris Ballard said if the weather cooperates — which it has not since the project started last year — paving on the trail could begin on Tuesday. Because of heavy rain the past couple weeks, work done to get the base of the trail ready has been redone twice now since the trail was not paved last year due to weather delays.
