CHURUBUSCO — Said to be Indiana’s oldest continuously running annual festival, Turtle Days will toddle into Churubusco from June 12-19.

The celebration of the elusive and legendary Oscar the Turtle — the Beast of Busco — will mark its 70th year. Turtletown USA began celebrating the legend in 1949.

The four-day festival will be filled with contests, vendors, concessions, music, games, rides, fireworks, and many activities for the whole family.

Thursday night, military and first responder families get discount ride wristbands.

Friday at 4:30 p.m., the fire department serves a fish and tenderloin dinner.

The turtle race begins at 7 p.m. Friday.

Frankie & the Bananas take the stage at 7 p.m.
