COLUMBIA CITY — Manufacturing Your Future: 80/20 Foundation Trust Scholarships, are a new opportunity for local students, announced by the Community Foundation of Whitley County last week.

A total of four scholarships will be awarded to Whitley County graduating seniors; one from each high school (Churubusco, Columbia City and Whitko) as well as one scholarship for a non-traditional student. Non-traditional includes home-schooled students, private school graduates or anyone who has been out of school and is seeking a career change.

The Manufacturing Your Future scholarships will award 50% of the tuition cost for each of the four semesters required to attain a two-year degree at a Northeast Indiana School for one of the following majors: Advanced Automation and Robotics Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Manufacturing Production and Operations, Electrical Engineering Technology (junior year transfer program vs 2-year degree), Electronics and Computer Technology, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Production and Operations, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Supply Chain Management.

For degrees requiring more than two years of study, additional scholarship funding may be available.
