The Chain O’ Lakes State Park has an upcoming series of events all about Monarch butterflies spanning until the end of the summer.

Each program is on a Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. at the Stanley Schoolhouse. The programs all run for an hour.

These programs include informative sessions, searching for caterpillars and eggs, learning how to raise a Monarch butterfly and studying their migration.

Also this summer are Monarch Mania events. Two of these, one from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 9 and the other 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 10, families can learn about the butterflies and get hands-on with coloring, butterfly tagging and gardening for pollinators.
