LARWILL — The body of Marcus Wolfe was found in a Whitley County lake over the weekend.

According to the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office, an out-of-state search and rescue team, Texas Equusearch, discovered Wolfe’s body overnight Sunday inside of a car at the bottom of Larwill Lake near C.R. 700W.

According to KPC News partner WANE.com, Indiana Department of Natural Resources retrieved the vehicle and body from the lake, and county sheriff and state police were involved in the investigation.

Wolfe, 19, went missing in July 2016 after having last been seen leaving his home east of Columbia City, and investigators at the time did not hint at foul play.

A cause of death has not yet been determined by the county coroner, and a ruling is expected following toxicology reports, according to the prosecutor’s office.
