CORUNNA — First responders are on the scene of a personal injury accident on U.S. 6 near the Noble/DeKalb county line, where it appears at least one person has been seriously injured.

First responders were paged out around 1:40 p.m. to the area of U.S. 6 near Corunna for an auto accident with injury.

According to emergency radio traffic, at least person was seriously injured. Responders had initially called for Samaritan air ambulance to come up from Fort Wayne, but then canceled that request.

Police are shut down U.S. 6 in the area for about 45 minutes while they were working the crash site. The highway was reopened around 2:30 p.m.
