Targgart earns FFA honors

Recent Lakeland graduate and valedictorian, Madi Targgart, received the distinguished FFA Indiana State Hoosier degree at the Indiana FFA State Convention in Indianapolis this month. Targgart served as the president of the Lakeland FFA Chapter during the 2021/22 school year. The Hoosier FFA Degree documents that the member has achieved success at a high level in their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) program, leadership development, and community service. The Hoosier degree recognizes what FFA members strive for in their careers. Targgart will be attending Purdue University in the fall to pursue a degree in a Biomedical Health Sciences on a pre-med track and will also serve as a student manager for the women’s basketball program.
