AUBURN — The Community Foundation of DeKalb County is accepting grant proposals for local literacy programs. Requests can be submitted now through Aug. 31. A total of $5,000 is available for granting.

An estimated 600 people attended the annual Party in the Parking Lot on July 28 at Auburn First United Methodist Church. The event offered free food and entertainment for the community.

AUBURN — A man who stole a car just 24 hours after being released from jail in Allen County and then committed offenses while in the DeKalb County Jail while the theft case was pending was sentenced for his actions during a hearing in DeKalb Superior Court II Monday.
