Tucker auction brings $900,000

This 1948 Tucker Sedan sold for $900,000 Saturday night at Worldwide Auctioneers’ 12th annual Auburn Auction. Proceeds went to cancer research at the Mayo Clinic. Names of the seller and buyer were not disclosed. The auction took place at Kruse Plaza for the first time. As spectators view the car, a screen in the background shows that bidding had reached $840,000. A 1970 Boss Ford Mustang sold for $200,000 a few minutes later.
