Auburn Mayor Mike Ley rode with Auburn Police Department Officer Sean Miller and his K-9 partner, Cooper, as they patrolled the city Wednesday night, giving the mayor a firsthand look at the work of the department. “I would like to share with the community the absolute importance and value I feel a K-9 unit brings to a police department,” Ley said. “That goes hand in hand with the wonderful service I feel our police department provides our community. Witnessing their work and dedication was an absolute honor. Most will never really see how truly hard they work and put their lives on the line for our community unless you see it firsthand. A huge thank you to the APD for serving our community!”
