No Shave November benefits GiGi’s Playhouse

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department donated $665 to GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome achievement center in Fort Wayne. The money was raised by officers participating in No Shave November. Each participating officer donated $20 to wear a neatly trimmed goatee during November. The money will go toward the free programs offered by GiGi’s Playhouse, from pre-natal diagnosis through career skills. From left are Deputy Nathan Freds, Sgt. Brian Springer; Holly Tonak, executive director of GiGi’s Playhouse, who is holding Teegan Caldwell; Sheriff Dave Cserep, Jail Commander Capt. Nathan Fike, Corrections Officer Jaylind Cline, Sgt. Dylan Heiden and Cpl. Jordan Baker.
