Train clips car near Butler, driver refuses medical treatment

The driver of this Chevrolet Malibu declined medical treatment after the rear of his vehicle was clipped by a southbound Norfolk Southern freight train southwest of Butler at 4:20 p.m. Thursday. Police said Kristopher Marshall, 42, of Butler was traveling west on C.R. 36, east of C.R. 63, and did not see the approaching train because of bright sun. The crossing is guarded by crossbucks and a yield sign. The gated C.R. 63 crossing is in the background.
